Mamie Leonard Shut-In Ministry

About Us

Evangelist Mamie Sconiers Leonard was well acquainted with the manifested power of God. In more than 50 years as an evangelist, she was able to see thousands of lives changed through salvation, deliverance, healing, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost. Since the founding of the shut-in ministry in August 1983, Evangelist Leonard and her ministry team conducted shut-in revivals at hundreds of churches within and beyond the United States.

The shut-ins continue today monthly in various locations as well at our home  church, Greater Deliverance Church of God in Christ in Inglewood, CA, where Evangelist Leonard served as first lady emeritus, was president and founder of the shut-in ministry. Evangelist Mamie Leonard passed from this life to glory on September 20, 2016.   At Greater Deliverance, her youngest son Elder Mark Leonard serves as pastor.

Evangelist Leonard received her honorary doctorate in 2001 from the Southern California School of Ministry, First Church of God in Inglewood. She was the wife of the late Pastor Alvin Leonard and mother of two sons: Minister Timothy Leonard and Pastor Mark.
